August 30th at 8:00 AM there will be a volunteer workday at the Rio Grande Farm Park!
We will be working on building our raised student garden beds, sanding down the art installation so the artist can come back and create fresh and new art, fixing one of our little book libraries and our trash bin area, and possibly lint seeding (weather sealant) the arches around the Education Center to help them last longer and stay resilient to the San Luis Valley weather.
If you would like to help improve the Farm Park show up around 8 AM and stay until 11 AM or for however long you can. Breakfast and coffee will be provided as well as equipment. Come out and spend time with community members while doing meaningful and helpful work for one of Alamosa's community spaces!
